Questions about our custom kitchen projects

How much does a custom kitchen cost in Montréal?

There is no honest single number, because a kitchen is priced by what is in it. The main drivers are the linear feet of cabinetry, the box material, the door material, the countertop, the hardware, and how much of the appliance run is integrated. The five kitchens on this page cover a range of sizes and finishes, from painted shaker to high gloss handleless. We measure the room, draw it, and give you a written price. The visit and the quote are both free, and our planning guide explains what to decide before you ask for one.

How long does a custom kitchen take from the first meeting to installation?

Three to six weeks is the usual window once the drawings are approved. The sequence is a showroom meeting, an on site measure, drawings you approve, fabrication in our own Saint-Laurent workshop, then installation. Because we fabricate rather than resell, the schedule stays ours rather than a supplier one. Our article on how a kitchen installation runs walks through the days on site.

Which areas do you serve around Montréal?

The workshop is at 4130 Boulevard Thimens in Saint-Laurent, and we design, build and install across Montréal, Laval, the West Island and the North Shore. The projects on this page were delivered in Bois-Franc, Pointe-Claire, Pierrefonds, Laval and Terrebonne, and Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Baie-D'Urfé, Dorval, Mascouche and Blainville all sit inside the same radius.

Do you make the cabinets yourselves, or resell them?

We make them. Cutting, assembly, finishing and stone templating are handled in house, and the same team delivers and installs, which is why a missing piece is usually a same day fix rather than a delay. It is also why the drawings you approve are the drawings that get built. Our guide to custom kitchen cabinets in Montréal explains how a project is put together.

Can you reface an existing kitchen instead of replacing it?

Yes, when the boxes are sound and the layout already works. Refacing changes the doors, the drawer fronts and the visible panels and leaves the carcasses in place, which is faster and costs less than a full rebuild. When the layout is the problem, refacing will not fix it. Our article on kitchen cabinet refacing in Montréal compares the two paths.

What countertop materials do you work with?

Quartz, quartzite, Dekton and porcelain, chosen for the room rather than for a brand. The projects here use Renoir and Radianz quartz, Vicostone Beryl and Taj Mahal quartzite, and each page says what was used and why. Our comparison of kitchen countertop materials puts the four side by side.

What warranty comes with a Limakdéco kitchen?

Our cabinet doors are covered by a 10 year warranty. Countertops, hardware and fixtures keep their own manufacturer coverage, which we pass on to you at the end of the project.
