Custom kitchen cabinets in Saint-Laurent, made in this borough

The workshop is on Thimens, so here a measure happens within a day or two and a piece that needs recutting is back on site the same afternoon.

What the houses need
Wood reception desk with an embossed logo panel in front of a backlit Limakdeco sign, with a seating area beyond
Our own front desk on Thimens. The showroom is in Saint-Laurent, which is why a client here can drop in on a Saturday morning with a drawer front in the car and settle a question in ten minutes.
Office kitchenette with cream cabinets, arched glass upper doors and a dark island with a quartz top, next to a seating area
An office kitchenette with arched glass uppers. Saint-Laurent has as many business parks as it has bungalows, and a fair share of our week is spent on staff kitchens and reception counters rather than on houses.
The area

What a kitchen in Saint-Laurent usually needs

Saint-Laurent is not a service area for us in the usual sense. It is where the workshop is. We are at 4130 Boulevard Thimens, off Highway 40, and for anyone in the borough that means a measure can happen the day after the call, a sample can be picked up rather than couriered, and a piece that needs recutting is back on site the same afternoon. It is the only place on this list where we can genuinely say that.

The borough covers a lot of ground and the housing changes completely from one sector to the next. Norgate and the streets around Decelles are post-war row houses and duplexes with small square kitchens and doors that were never meant to take a fridge through them. Vieux-Saint-Laurent and the area near the college have 1950s and 1960s bungalows and semis. Bois-Franc is a different world again: houses and condos from the mid nineties onward, wider rooms, nine foot ceilings, and buyers who usually want the kitchen changed within five years of moving in. We built a white shaker kitchen in Bois-Franc in 2024, and it is the project people from the borough most often mention.

Then there is the commercial side. Between Côte-Vertu, Thimens and the industrial streets north of the 40, there are hundreds of offices, clinics and studios, and commercial millwork is a real part of what we do here: reception counters, staff kitchenettes, storage walls, fitting rooms. The trade is the same as a kitchen, the tolerances are the same, and the deadlines are usually tighter because the space has to open on a date.

What we usually end up drawing

In the row houses, a compact kitchen that uses full height rather than floor area, drawers instead of low cupboards, and a counter depth fridge because a standard one will not turn the corner. In Bois-Franc, a full run to the ceiling with an island and panelled appliances. In the offices, a laminate or melamine carcass with a solid surface top, built to survive a hundred people rather than a family of four.

How the visit works

  • We come to you, measure every wall and photograph the room. Free, and in Saint-Laurent usually within a day or two.
  • You get elevations drawn in AutoCAD, so the kitchen is settled on paper before anything is cut.
  • The price is written, itemised and fixed against those drawings.
  • Everything is built here in the borough, then delivered and installed by our own people.
  • You are welcome at the shop at any stage. Most local clients come by twice.

Want a price for your kitchen in Saint-Laurent?
The visit is free and so is the written quote. You can also simply come to the shop on Thimens; if you live in the borough it is probably faster than filling in a form.

Bright white kitchen with a large waterfall quartz island in grey veined stone, black bar stools and a ceiling integrated hood, by Limakdeco
A waterfall island under a ceiling hood. This is the Bois-Franc brief more or less exactly: nine foot ceilings, a wide room, and an island that has to hold the whole thing together.
Dark wood floating bathroom vanity with a round mirror, shelves with plants and a storage tower, by Limakdeco
A floating vanity with open shelving. In the 1960s bungalows around Marcel-Laurin the bathrooms are small, and hanging the unit is the cheapest way to give the floor back.
Questions from Saint-Laurent

What people in Saint-Laurent ask us first

Where exactly is your workshop?

4130 Boulevard Thimens in Saint-Laurent, just off Highway 40, with free parking at the door. It is a working shop with a showroom in front, so door samples, hinges, drawer boxes, finished cabinet sections and stone slabs are all out where you can handle them. No appointment is needed to look, though calling first means someone is free to walk you through it.

Do you actually build here, or is it assembled elsewhere?

Built here. The panels are cut, edged, bored, sprayed and assembled in this borough, and the same company installs them. That is why we can promise a recut filler back on site the same day for a local job, which no importer can do at any price.

Can we visit before we commit to anything?

Please do, and most local clients come twice: once to see doors and finishes, and once after the drawings to confirm the colour under real light. There is no charge and no obligation, and it is by far the fastest way to settle questions that email drags out for a week.

How much does a custom kitchen cost in Saint-Laurent?

It follows what is in the kitchen: linear feet of cabinetry, box and front materials, the number of drawers, whether appliances are panelled, and the stone. A Norgate row house kitchen is a small number, a Bois-Franc kitchen with an island is a larger one. We measure, we draw, and we hand you a written price. Both steps are free.

Do you do commercial work in the borough?

Regularly. Reception counters, staff kitchenettes, storage walls, clinic casework and fitting rooms for offices between Côte-Vertu and Thimens. See commercial millwork for what that involves. Commercial jobs are usually scheduled around a fixed opening date, and we build to that rather than to a comfortable one.

You built a kitchen in Bois-Franc. Can we see it?

Yes. The white shaker kitchen with Renoir quartz was finished there in 2024, and the project page has the full set of photographs and the materials. If you live in Bois-Franc, the room proportions will look familiar.

Do we need a permit from the borough?

Replacing cabinetry is interior finishing work and normally needs nothing. Moving a load bearing wall, changing plumbing runs, altering an opening or anything visible from outside goes through the borough office, and in a Bois-Franc condo it also goes through the syndicate. We tell you which side of that line your project falls on at the visit.

Which nearby areas do you cover?

Everything around us: Villeray and the Plateau to the east, Dollard-des-Ormeaux and the West Island to the west, plus Laval and the South Shore. The service areas page lists every one.
