How much does a custom kitchen typically cost?
Most of our kitchens fall in the $15,000–$60,000+ range, depending on cabinetry materials, countertop choices, hardware, and layout complexity. A modest galley kitchen in lacquer might start around $15K; a large kitchen with custom islands, glass cabinets, and marble countertops can reach $60K or more.
We don't believe in hiding numbers. During your first consultation, we'll give you a realistic estimate before any design work begins.
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
No. Our quotes are detailed and fixed-price · no surprises at the end. The only additions are things you specifically request after signing, and we'll always confirm in writing first.
Process & Timeline
How long does the whole process take, from first meeting to installation?
Typically 6 to 8 weeks from first consultation to completed installation:
- Week 1: Showroom visit and consultation (free)
- Week 2: Design, measurements, 3D renderings, quote
- Weeks 3–5: Production in our workshop
- Weeks 5–6: Installation, typically 2–4 days
Do you handle the installation, or do I need a separate contractor?
We handle everything. Design, production, delivery, and installation are all done by the same Limakdéco team. No coordinating, no communication gaps. When we're done, we do a walkthrough with you to make sure everything is exactly right.
Quality & Warranty
What kind of warranty do you offer?
Every Limakdéco project is built with care, precision, and long-term use in mind. We offer a 2-year limited warranty on our cabinetry workmanship and installation. Materials, hardware, accessories, and countertops are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties, which vary by product. If something does not feel right after installation, contact us and we will review it with care.
Can I see your work before committing to anything?
Absolutely. Our Saint-Laurent showroom is open 6 days a week. You'll see real cabinetry, real finishes, and real countertops at full scale · not samples on a screen. No appointment required, though booking in advance means a designer will be dedicated to your visit.

Do you only design kitchens, or also bathrooms and countertops?
We specialize in custom kitchens, bathrooms, countertops, and built-in cabinetry, but our work goes beyond that. We also design and build custom vanities, walk-in closets, laundry rooms, reception desks, built-in shelving, office cabinetry, and other tailored millwork solutions. Every project is made to your specifications and receives the same level of care, precision, and attention to detail, whether it is a compact bathroom vanity or a full kitchen renovation.
Do you offer different countertop materials?
Yes. We work with a curated selection of countertop and surface materials, including quartz, quartzite, porcelain, natural stone, Dekton, Techlam, and other premium surfaces. During the design process, we guide you through the best options for your space, considering aesthetics, durability, maintenance, and budget. Availability may vary by supplier, but our goal is to help you select a material that completes your project beautifully and performs well over time.
Do you work outside of Montréal?
Our primary service area is greater Montréal and surrounding suburbs. We occasionally take on projects elsewhere in Québec · contact us to discuss if you're outside the greater Montréal area.
